SYNOPSIS
Based on the unpublished testimonies of survivors, unknown archives and interviews with the main historians who have investigated this catastrophe, this film tells the folly of Mao’s “Great Leap Forward” between 1958 and 1962. He decrypts the mechanisms and choices policies that have caused famine, denounces the incredible secrecy that surrounds it and the lie that continues, even today, on the balance of responsibilities and human losses.
